After helping various friends get their words right, again and again – creating solid copy for their websites and income-generating endeavors, developing backgrounds and wiki content for their fictional characters across various gaming organizations, and consulting on their resumes and various correspondence – and providing content generation, proofreading, and editing services for several businesses (for both print and web media) – I’ve started accepting freelance writing work for my copywriting / proofreading / editing services.

Over the past three decades, I’ve produced everything from:

  • poetry (some, award-winning) and personal writing projects (children’s stories, anthology short stories, and alt-world genre fiction)
  • social media, blog articles, and website content (author & copyeditor)
  • gallery exhibit catalogs, souvenir booklets, and art-info wall cards
  • crochet and craft patterns (several formats for wide publication)
  • essays on fiction/non-fiction topics, including detailed character backgrounds with historical outlines
  • tabletop RPGs with mechanics suitable for All Ages and a simplified Phys-Rep System of Visual-ID (Power Levels) for LARP gameplay
  • game design documents, plot/story bibles, contest programs, convention/tradeshow publications, and website/wiki copy for it all
  • fundraising/recruitment drives, newsletters, and magazine content for local/regional/online outreach programs (charity/education/volunteer service)
  • convention/event packets (for both the admins/organizers and the attendees)
  • administration portfolios, membership handbooks, election procedures, and guidelines of self-governance for the core student’s organization of the online branch of a local state college and various local/regional/online gaming organizations
  • resumes and cover letters (generalized & industry/company targetted)
  • menu listings and product descriptions for publication in online mass marketplaces (converted ESL-copy to Standard American English)
  • storefront descriptions, product listings, customer support inserts, and jingles/ad-copy for a variety of products ranging from uniquely whimsical to utterly formal in presentation
  • B2B strategy presentations, business plans, market evaluation packets, direct-mail campaigns, and sales/lead generation programs
  • informational and inspirational speeches (as a ghostwriter), damage control statements, and press releases for C- and VP- level clients, along with customer-facing presentations and shareholder reports
  • technical documentation and user/employee manuals, including:
BCP/DRP, corporate guidelines, field operations manuals, quality control reporting and root-cause analysis, HR policy brochures, job descriptions, new hire packets, training programs, organizational workflow checklists, and productivity improvement plans
  • AND, basic web design and coding projects – MediaWiki (practiced) and some HTML (simple only, nothing fancy)

Sample Work

At the outset of this freelance endeavor, I do not have links that I can share of my previous freelance work, as some of it was contracted under NDA and other work was done for companies or organizations whose departmental websites are now defunct, or they were sold to/subsumed by business entities for whom the communication trail has gone cold.  Rest assured that, as I complete new writing projects (as well as any copywriting / proofreading / editing work that I take on), I’ll post links for samples of my range/skill set (with the client’s permission, of course).

creative storytelling for work & play

A lover of stories from early childhood, my passion for stringing words together began in elementary school when teachers opened my eyes to the magic of grammatical construction.  No longer content to simply read the works of others, I began writing my own stories for family and friends.

As I progressed through the teen years into young adulthood, poetry and theatre entered the scene.  I learned how to balance the emotional elements of a piece and gained a better understanding of character development, story structure, and world-building.

As an adult, I sought opportunities that placed SEO/web copy. B2B offerings, and technical writing in my skill-set toolbox, as well as learning to finesse a story toward the fulfillment of a target audience’s needs – and I began writing “fairy tall tales” for the children in my life.  All this served to strengthen my craft in both the professional and recreational realms.

With nearly three decades of professional writing experience, and a lifetime of storytelling expertise (fiction and non-fiction), I have what it takes to craft your words so they reflect in the very best light, I’ve shared the fruits of my labor with corporate giants such as UPS Logistics, Spherion, a small-business brokerage, a gaming company or two, international gaming fan-clubs (GWB & MES), and a plethora of individuals and small businesses.

I write words RIGHT; ping me to get your copy flowing today.

Take her formidable talent for copywriting and storytelling, plus her impressive grasp of vocabularic precision, add in a wickedly-wry sense of humor, and you’ve got yourself one powerhouse of a wordsmith on your side!
